Dave Field Elected to Washington Airport Management Association Board

Congratulations to Dave Field, PE, on his election to the Washington Airport Management Association (WAMA) Board!

Dave was selected for a two-year term and is the only Consultant serving on WAMA's Board of Directors. Recently, Dave completed his service on the governor-appointed Washington State Aviation Planning Council.

The Washington Airport Management Association is a non-profit organization created in 1970 to foster professionalism among airport operators in the State of Washington. Their mission is to improve airports and airport management in Washington State.

Dave Field is based in our Bothell, WA office. He is a former manager of the Seattle Airports District Office and the FAA Airports Division Programming Branch. Dave has more than 40 years of aviation development experience, and is extremely knowledgeable of FAA Policies, Procedures and Standards

Larry Signani Earns CFedS

Congratulations to Larry Signani, PLS - and now also CFedS - who passed the February 2010 CFedS certification exam. We are very proud of Larry and appreciate his dedication to the surveying profession!

Larry is based in our Sumner, WA office and serves as a senior survey project manager. He has over 48 years of experience in cadastral, geodetic, topographic, hydrographic, photgrammetric, utility and construction surveying. Larry's role at WHPacific also includes instructing employees and surveyors across the U.S. in GPS techniques. He is the GPS committee chairperson for the Land Surveyors Association of Washington, which involves establishing new technology to be used in the Northwest including the Washington Real Time Network in Washington and Oregon. Larry has also implemented the National Geodetic Survey - Height Modernization program campaigns for Washington state on behalf of the Spatial Reference Center of Washington.

What is a CFedS?

A CFedS is a state licensed land surveyor who has completed the Bureau of Land Management's training program and successfully passed the certification exam. The training program consists of seven courses covering different aspects of the BLM's surveying procedures containing survey legal issues, survey case studies, mathematical problems, and survey history.
