WHPacific brings on Mark Macfarlane as Survey and Mapping Director in our San Diego, CA location. Mark has 15 years of surveying experience that include: records research and monument recovery calculation, fieldwork, plan calculations and construction staking, boundary resolution, the drafting of plats, corner records, ALTA/NSPS surveys, records of survey, subdivision and parcel maps, right of way and easement dedications and vacations, and the preparation of legal descriptions. Mark is well versed in GNSS processing, post processing of PPK, static, rapid static and RTK observations and their inclusion in combination with conventional field total station and digital level observations into a robust network least squares adjustment to satisfy any level of accuracy and reporting requirements that are specified by the client.
As the Director of Surveying, he is responsible for project accountability, employee management, employee development, the development of survey crews, and team building. He is also responsible for coordination and consultation with clients to determine their needs, the management of survey field crews, office operations, quality control, adherence to industry standards, compliance with state law, the implementation of the latest technology, and working with clients and engineering staff to create efficient survey work flows that optimize productivity.
